Read about how we took over the SEO for a local vacuum pump company and skyrocketed their rankings
Here’s a sneak peak at the kind of results we have achieved for this client.

Incorporated in 1996, VACTECH Sdn Bhd is a trading company in the air and vacuum industry with operations in Malaysia and around the region. Their website is www.vactech.com.my.
They have been doing SEO for the past five years, with mixed results. Only one or two keywords were ranking in the first page of Google.com.my. After 2012 (and the emergence of Panda and Penguin), none of their keywords ranked so they decided to shop around for a new SEO agency.
Unfortunately, we didn’t take any screenshots of their previous website. Archive.org didn’t seem to index it properly for some reason as well, so no pretty pictures here.
We found that there were several major issues with their website design. For one thing, it was using URL masking. This meant that whichever page you went to on their website, it still showed www.vactech.com.my. While Google was still indexing the individual pages, this is quite disorientating from a UX perspective.
Additionally, their site architecture was not optimal and most of their content was in the form of PDF brochures.
After several discussions, we decided to embark on a complete website redesign since we had to make many structural changes anyway.
We also reviewed their existing link profile (since they have done SEO on their site before), and fortunately, it seemed that their website was free from any Google penalties. I say fortunately because link building five years ago was done quite differently, and there’s a good chance that any company that has been doing SEO for a while has been hit by at least the Penguin penalty.
What We Did
Our main focus was to improve the site architecture and keyword relevance. Since it was an existing domain, we believed that it had already gained some authority with Google. Also, because we decided to turn it into a catalog website (showing individual products), we wanted to try to rank the category pages instead of concentrating on the home page.
There were several delays to the project, and we managed to launch the website in late January 2014. We were quite confident with the work we did, but the results were much better than expected. For example:
All 10 spots in the SERPs were dominated by our client’s brand new, CLOUDROCKED website! But let’s not get too excited. It isn’t a particularly competitive keyword and we’re not going to promise you the same results for your site.
Of course, these are not typical results and we do expect Google to rectify the situation shortly. But if anyone in Malaysia is actually going to buy a circuit vacuum pump in the next few days, then they’ll be going to VACTECH.
Also, within a few weeks, 100% of their keywords were ranking in the first page of Google.com.my. Of course, we would never guarantee such fantastic and lightning quick results to any client, but it sure feels good when it happens.
Here are just some of the other keywords that they’re ranking for:
And all this was achieved even before we started on any serious link building. Of course, we do not use any link networks or other black hat SEO tactics. All our results are achieved using methods that comply with Google’s Guidelines.
It’s still too early to tell how well the site’s traffic increased, but we’re quite sure it will and by quite a bit. We will update this page in a few months if we can get a release.
Needless to say, the client was quite pleased with CLOUDROCK’s SEO work.
Do You Need Help With Your Site?
Despite being barely a year old, CLOUDROCK has grown from strength to strength. We both prove and improve on our capabilities with every new project that we take.
In fact, we have increased our prices three times over the past few months alone.
If you’ve talked to any of our guys before, you’d know that our approach is different. We don’t offer any cookie-cutter packages, and we always customize our programs according to individual client needs.
Why do we go through this process? Because we believe that the current methods of doing SEO is outdated and wrong and will harm clients’ websites; the SEO middle market (those that charge around RM500/mth) will disappear within the next few years because of the increasing complexity of SEO; and content marketing is the future. So far, it looks like we’ve been right.
Just drop us an email now if you would like to work with us to improve your website’s SEO. And you might want to do it soon. After these kind of results, we might just decide to raise our prices again in a few weeks.
